It was hardly unheard of for Andrew to come home from work singing. In fact, it was such a common occurrence that Chicken barely lifted her head as Andrew sashayed around the kitchen humming to himself, occasionally breaking out into song. "So I say thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing," he crooned to a passing Axel, who gave him a little wave. "Thanks for all the joy they're bringing." He used the last of a banana as an impromptu microphone, then finished it off and threw away the peel.
He didn't have specific plans with Evan, but he assumed he had permission to go over and bother him once he was finished work. Wednesdays were Andrew's busy day, so Evan had had since 10 that morning to study without interruption. It was, therefore, high time Andrew interrupted him and made him do something more fun. Unless Evan was making another model, in which case Andrew might just watch.
He was still humming as he apparated, doing a little turn complete with jazz hands once he arrived. Evan wasn't sitting in the living room, as Andrew had half expected. Probably because the open plan kitchen-living space smelled entirely of burning. "Though I spends me time," Andrew sang, as he checked the oven to make sure nothing was actually on fire, "in the ashes and smoke, in this 'ole wide world there's no happier bloke."
Finding nothing alarming, Andrew resumed his search for Evan in the bedroom - where he found Evan frowning over some unweildy-looking book that was probably about architecture. "There you are," he said, smiling as he plopped down behind Evan and slid an arm around his waist. "Looking so serious." He nipped at Evan's ear. "Remember you're never fully dressed without a smile."
