Daphne wasn't sure what the answer to that question would be. Would they fall asleep together or in their separate beds? Would it make much of a difference if either situation came to pass?
As he started to talk about being human, she found herself agreeing. He was right, that much she could admit. Maybe it was just part of the human condition to be eager to please despite the fact that you shouldn't. She found it quite interesting that he was being so open and raw with what he was telling her. Hearing how he felt jealous of his ex for her happy relationship was particularly telling. "I think we all want what we feel we can't have," she said.
Another drink caused a pause in conversation before Daphne turned her attention back on Roger. "Do you want to kiss me?," she asked him. "Would it make you feel less alone?" She finished off her drink and sat it down on the counter. "I wonder if it would make me feel less alone."
