She nodded. Crime novels were easy reading and that often made them more enjoyable. One could only be so interested in reading something when it was difficult to understand. All that extra language that you had to go and look words up just to understand what the author was saying could be tedious. "They're not for everyone," she agreed. "They're decidedly unrealistic, but I think that's why I like them. Fairy tales that are just in the real world enough to imagine that they might actually happen. It's a lot less depressing than realizing that relationships are usually shit." Not that she honestly had a whole lot of experience in that particular field.
