It was sort of depressing that Daphne found herself more interested in booze than tea as of late. Life was far too confusing to deal with for her at the moment and she was more than willing to drown most of her feelings with a little booze. Or a lot of booze as it seemed lately.
She was distracted by her nearly empty drink when Roger leaned against the bar and offered to buy her a drink. She didn't doubt that he was probably hitting on her, at least a little. She felt slightly guilty for accepting, all things considered. Daphne wondered if it was rude or weird to come out and tell him she was a lesbian before at least giving her name and getting his.
For now, she gave him a smile. "Thank you," she said. "That's a sweet gesture. I should probably warn you, though, that you might possibly be barking up the wrong tree." There, that was a little better and he didn't have to waste his money on a drink for her if he didn't want to. "I wouldn't mind the company though. I'm Daphne."
