"That's true," she said, though she had a feeling that there was more to it than that. He probably did or could write a song about people that he knew, but she would have to hear the song before she had an opinion one way or the other. The fact that they were going to play it at their next concert made her feel pretty special. Knowing that he'd gone and shared it with the band and that they liked something written about her enough to play it was amazing.
"I'd like that," she told him. "It's a date." Then she laughed and shook her head. "Well, sort of. I'll be there and you'll be there, but I don't know if it's technically a date with that much space between us," she said. "You on the stage being a hot rockstar and me being a total groupie as close to the front of the crowd as I can get." As usual she was back to rambling.
