The offer surprised Higgs. As much as they were clearly getting along just fine, Higgs hadn't really expected Fred to invite him out for a drink. There was no real reason why not, not one that wasn't to do with George or Alicia. And perhaps both of them were pretty good reasons not to, but Higgs didn't think they really should be. The fact that Fred didn't either was a surprise, but a pleasing one. "I think I'd enjoy that," Higgs decided. "Or at least not hate it," he added with a smirk. Higgs was sure that Fred was aware of how odd the situation was and would be if they went out for drinks, but Higgs also had no intention of declining.
"Maybe at some point next week?" Higgs offered. He wanted to add 'not anywhere crowded' but figured that perhaps if he played his cards right, he'd end up picking the when and where and then Higgs could ensure it wasn't on a busy night out. He did almost offer Fred that he could bring George but Higgs genuinely didn't think he was quite ready for that just yet. "I even won't refuse you buying the first drink," he announced. "What with you being the more attractive twin, I'll feel honoured," Higgs told Fred maybe a touch too teasingly.
