Higgs had, of course, known that Weasley had a twin. Had met Fred before. He'd known Alicia for long enough to have met both of the Weasley twins, though, Higgs had definitely had more conversations with Wea--George. It was going to do him no good to refer to both of them as 'Weasley' in his head right now. Still, despite having known that George had a twin, Higgs kind of always assumed he got the right one, which in retrospect was a pretty stupid idea since there was a literal fifty-fifty chance of that. "Oh," Higgs said. "Sorry. It's just that you--" And there he paused, blinking slowly before shaking his head. "Identical," he said with a sigh. "I was going to say you're 'identical' but I assume that you might be quite aware of that fact," Higgs noted aware of how idiotic the comment would've sounded.
After a moment's pause, Higgs held his hand out to Fred. "I know we've met before," he explained. "But I don't believe it's been very recently," or, really, even if the times they had met before there had been much of a conversation. When Fred shook his hand, Higgs gave him a small nod. "You run the joke shop with your brother, right?" Higgs confirmed since... well, it seemed pretty idiotic to go back to standing in silence now. Unless Fred would prefer it, in which case Higgs was sure he would be told as much.
