Who: Ashleigh Spinnet and Aisling Astor.
What: Ashleigh is late for an appointment.
Where: Flat 2, 56 Limbick Alley
When: Friday 16th September, 6pm.
Getting Alicia to actually leave the flat once she'd returned from work had been almost a Herculean task - at least, in Ashleigh's estimation. Alicia had made it more than obvious that she didn't want to go to her new colleagues' welcome dinner, that she was too tired, that there was no point. Ashleigh had refused to listen to any of those arguments. It would be good for her to go, both personally and professionally, and with Alicia on medication Ashleigh was more than a little convinced the exhaustion was emotional rather than physical, and thus it could be fought and it could be beaten. Alicia had, finally, begrudgingly, been ushered into the floo by her sister, leaving the flat feeling strangely empty.
Ashleigh's first thought had been to go straight to bed. She'd got as far as changing into pyjamas and sitting down on the mattress before her anxiety flared up. She'd slept much better with Alicia in the flat - apparently too much so, because now she wasn't used to forcing herself to lie down and close her eyes when she was alone. She could have gone to see Axel, but his energy levels were frankly intimidating, and he'd probably expect them to eat (it was dinner time, after all).
Instead, Ashleigh returned to the living room - of which she was now tired, not having had the energy or opportunity to change its design since Alicia moved in - and curled up on the couch with a book. This was better. When Alicia came home, she might need something, so it was better Ashleigh not be asleep. And if she napped a little, then no one needed to know.
