Who: Andrew Kirke and Aisling Astor
What: Clay Pigeon Shooting (the poshest adventure)
Where: Turnberry Hotel, Scotland.
When: Monday 5th September, late afternoon.
By the time they reached the shooting range, if that was even the proper term, the guide had just finished telling them all the other things they could be doing on the Turnberry estate, and Andrew was regretting his decision to do clay pigeon shooting. Especially when they could be doing something called "water zorbing" or quad biking. He might have to come back with Evan. "I've only ever shot waterguns, and quasar rifles," Andrew said when the guide asked how much experience they had. Aisling might have more - Andrew wouldn't be surprised.
"So," Andrew asked, when the guide left them at one of the butts while he went to fetch ear and eye protection. "Is my surprise fancy enough? There's dinner later." The dinner looked very fancy, and there would be champagne, but none of that was an adventure. Shooting things, even clay things, was definitely An Adventure, which quite appealed to Andrew.
