Gemma smiled, both because she was glad to hear that he was okay and because he'd not answered with fine; which she would've complained about had he used the word. Though she was sure he was more or less fine it wasn't exactly much of an answer. "That's good to hear," she said. "Already? After all the time spent alone on holiday you'd think they'd be overjoyed to see you." Gemma was teasing of course, knowing that her parents wouldn't really mind if Higgs continued to stay there. Though it was unlikely either party would prefer it. "You could always come stay at mine for a bit, if you need a change of scenery."
Although the rules weren't as strict, with a game upcoming Gemma couldn't exactly afford to treat herself to whatever she liked. So she settled for ordering a large cup of tea and one of the slightly healthier food options that wouldn't tasted as if she were eating cardboard. "Tens, it's fine really. I'm not expecting you to tell me absolutely everything that's going on, just as long as you can tell me whether you're doing okay or not," she said reassuringly. "That depends on whether you consider having a somewhat strange but nice dream as being exciting."
