Lydia's eyebrows shot up as she watched him quickly down the first shot. Okay he wasn't kidding was he? He really needed to get shitfaced. She rarely saw Roger like this. He certainly wasn't one for emotions but she could read that he was upset. Quickly following him to down his shot she looked over at his face as he talked. Thankfully Celia hadn't broken anything in his face, that could have gotten complicated quickly. "Birds dig battle wounds right? Try it out this weekend, report back," she joked as she poured herself another shot. Clearly Roger wasn't drunk enough to talk about the serious stuff so she might has well keep things light.
Watching him cut up the lemons and separate them she sighed. She knew she wouldn't need to be as drunk as Roger was going to get but she wasn't going to sit here sober. Wouldn't that be just taking advantage of him? Lydia felt bad for him, she couldn't imagine losing her best friend of that long and clearly not many people were aware of that fact.
