"For gifts I sometimes knit figures... well, essentially they're toys, I guess," she replied. "For Ginny's birthday I had knitted a set of little unicorns and um a rainbow, and I charmed them so that the unicorns paraded over the rainbow. But um if she's near them and feeling sad they're supposed to prance over her." It might sound a little silly but she'd enjoyed the work and she was sure that Ginny had enjoyed the gift; she hadn't heard otherwise yet. "It's alright, I don't know very much about curse-breaking," she said, even if it had sounded better in her head than aloud. "Sometimes, though not very well. I still keep in touch with some of my friends from school though, so it's not really a loss."
Mary-Anne smiled and looked out the window when Cedric had said the ride was almost over. Had they really been talking for that long? It didn't seem as if much time had passed at all. "I'd like that," she answered happily. "It's a good thing my dress doesn't have long sleeves though. It wouldn't be very good if we'd got to pet the horses only for them to munch on the sleeves."
