"When I'm making gifts for family or friends, I do use magic if I've made something and want to charm it to move about and stuff though," she mentioned. Mary-Anne liked being able to gift hand-made things to those she cared about but admittedly it was also a little bit because she had this dream house in her mind that she wanted to save up for as much as possible. "It probably wouldn't have worked so well if it had been much bigger than it was." Nor would she have felt nearly so comfortable if it had started seeming more like a crowd rather than a fairly small group. Mary-Anne couldn't help but smile brightly at the praise and sheepishly thanked Cedric for it.
"It's nice that you share some similarities. I don't really think I share many at all with my brother and sister," she commented. Not that they didn't get on at all but she really didn't feel there was all that much they shared in common, aside from the obvious points. "I don't think it'll come as much of a surprise when I say that most of my family are Gryffindors. I knew I wouldn't be lonely if I ended up there but I'm glad I was sorted into Hufflepuff though."
