Mary-Anne was feeling surprisingly at ease or at least not nearly so awkward as she thought she would be feeling when on a date with someone she didn't know. Though she thought that might have a little something to do with knowing that Xavier and Aisling were nearby if she felt worried about how things were going. Aisling had also been a big help in finding an outfit for tonight as well and it was one she felt comfortable in and actually felt pretty and not at all awkward like she usually did when dressing up. But it hadn't been too bad so far and, Cedric, her date seemed nice and luckily she wasn't taller than him, which was something that she often worried about when it came to dates... not that she ever had much experience with dates at all.
Unsure of what to expect from an opera, she wasn't sure if it met expectations she had or whether she felt underwhelmed. Mary-Anne was pretty sure she hadn't quite understood what the opera was about - well, she had mostly understood but was left wondering why the agency or whoever it was thought it was a good subject for a date. Then Cedric had gone to get drinks for them both and she'd been left alone, though it wasn't long after he'd left that Xavier and Aisling had come over to check on her to see how things were and they'd gotten to chatting.
