Lydia always felt she stood a little bit taller when someone told her she was a good friend. Maybe it was the inherited Hufflepuff genes she had but it was something she always strived to be. The world could be a crazy place but she believed as long as you had good friends to rely on, everything would be okay. However she didn't feel the need to explain that all to Higgs right now she she settled for a simple, "That's very nice of you to say," and left it at that.
"I will bake all the pies for you then," she said with a shrug. Who knows, maybe she found a new test dummy since George would probably say anything tasted good. At his final comment, she angrily stabbed her salad trying to hide the smirk that was growing on her face, "Oh be quiet. Could you imagine our friendship if neither one of us were talkers? I might not even have a dog by now!" It was true, Lydia could probably talk for hours if she was allowed. She also accepted the fact that it was far to late in her life to change that fact about herself. Besides, if people got sick of her talking then they would have to start talking themselves. There. Problem solved. Looking over at him though she smiled, "Do you need me to do anything specific for you though?"
