"Well, I would have if I'd known you were going," she told him. "Maybe next time you decide to go to the sex shop, I'll come along and play awkward third wheel," she teased. Caitlin figured he was probably right about the shopkeeper, though. She worked in a sex shop and surely she'd come across more embarrassed first time shoppers than she could count. "On a first name basis with the shopkeeper already? Look at you! You'd never know that you were a first timer," she grinned.
She slipped off of the trolley when he stopped it and nodded. "Oh, yes," she told him, waving her hand dismissively. "You don't have to be sorry. If I had a boyfriend that looked - and played - like Andrew, I would have abandoned you as well," she promised him. The mention of Mary-Anne made her smile. "Mary-Anne," she explained. "We've been friends since school," she went on. "We went exploring while you were busy with Andrew. It really was lovely. Thank you for going with me. I had fun before you disappeared as well. Did you enjoy the show?"
