"Oh, you should've said," Evan told her when Caitlin announced she had never been to a sex shop. "You could've come with us," he added. "I had never been to a sex shop either," he explained. There was a reason why Evan had kept referring to it as a 'sexpedition', because it was that. Sure they had gone there for a particular thing, but partially it had also been to just see what the shop was like. Evan also gave a small dismissive wave when Caitlin said she would be too embarrassed to ask for an advice. "I think they expect that," he assured her seriously. "Gladys, the shopkeeper, was very nice," Evan added. He was sure that if you worked as a shopkeeper in a sex shop, you had to learn how to make people not feel awkward.
Finally successfully locating the isle with spades and buckets and different shapes for playing in the sand, Evan stopped the trolley. "Did you have a nice time, by the way? After I abandoned you?" He asked walking over to the shelf to pick the nicest things. "Which, I'm sorry for, by the way. I did try to find you but there were people and Aisling said you'd gone off with the girl that startles," Evan explained with a shrug. It hadn't seemed very important at the time, but Evan did suppose he owed Caitlin an apology.
