"You can definitely get me screws for my birthday or Christmas," Evan agreed with a nod. "Or any DIY stuff, I like building materials," he added honestly. Evan really did like building materials. They were also not very cheap. That was one of the reasons he hadn't been able to do much on Daisy's tree house this summer, but redoing his parents attic had been a lot of fun. Evan loved building things, the problem was that building proper things required a lot of materials and materials were always pricey. So yes, he would not turn down screws as a present.
Evan wasn't sure whether he was meant to answer the first question, the one of whether they had found anything worthwhile. They had, which was probably okay to say so Evan nodded. But he didn't know if telling Caitlin about the ribbons they had picked out so Evan could tie Andrew up was particularly appropriate so he didn't, instead giving a small shrug. "I didn't realise it was relevant?" He offered honestly. Evan had hardly tried to keep it from Caitlin, why would he? But he didn't think that her love of the band implied that Evan should have told her about Andrew? It didn't seem very logical.
"There was a lot of things there," he said instead. "Like really a lot. But the shopkeeper was very helpful, so I guess she could always narrow down the choices?" Evan pondered. "I don't know how people would shop without advice," he admitted.
