Evan gave Caitlin an incredulous look when she asked him if they needed screws. "Everyone needs screws," he informed her seriously. Given, if her question had been 'do we need screws for a bonfire?', Evan would have had to admit that, no, they did not. Which in turn meant that she was right to teasingly tell him that he was being inefficient, but then she hadn't even picked up wood when they were there to pick up wood, so Evan felt like he was still being the more efficient one here. Besides, he was in charge of the trolley pushing, which made him necessary for the shopping trip. Especially if she was just going to hang off the trolley like some sort of Homebase pirate.
"But I'll give you the fact that we might not need screws right now," he admitted, heading back to the trolley, with one last sad look at the screw drawers. Maybe he'd come on his own another time, buy all the screws. One could never have too many screws. Evan returned to his efforts of chauffeuring Caitlin around the shop, despite still not having any idea in which direction to find the beach things. "Oh, so Andrew and I went to a sex shop yesterday," Evan told her conversationally.
