"Okay, good," Hermione nodded when Neville said he had asked Daisy out. That seemed like a more practical move than just kissing. It wouldn't do to create an impression that kissing was all Neville wanted from Daisy. Especially since Hermione had no doubt at all that Neville would never want just that from someone. Besides, him saying he liked Daisy made Hermione smile. She had, of course, suspected. Still, it pleased her that it was actually going somewhere. Dinner, evidently.
Shifting slightly, Hermione looked at Neville seriously. "So what do you need?" She asked. "A game plan for talking to Harry?" Because that seemed what Neville was most concerned about. Hermione took this to mean that Daisy had accepted his dinner invitation, otherwise there might have been more sadness than worry. "You should tell him that you like Daisy. And that you're sorry if that compromises your friendship, but also that you just want to make her happy," Hermione advised. "He can't possibly oppose that. Harry's known you since you were little," with that, Hermione crawled slightly forward in bed so she could put her hand on Neville's knee. "You're the nicest person I know and therefore you're the nicest person Harry knows," because, no, Hermione did not think Harry knew anyone who she didn't. "And if you say you want to make someone happy, we know you will try your very hardest to," whether Daisy was going to let him was a very different matter. Hermione hardly felt that was appropriate to bring up, however.
