Laurel flushed spectacularly when she realized just how much she'd said in just a short span of time. These were definitely things she wouldn't tell just anybody, but Bethanie had always been a very supportive figure, at least in Laurel's dim memory of their brief overlap at school. And, simply put, Laurel liked Bethanie. There was trust that she couldn't explain. But she wasn't going to go into the details, not now when they were going to be having fun. Some day, maybe.
"I am," she said, following Bethanie back into the living room and taking in the setup. "Both, maybe? I didn't get all the attention from mine, since there were others, but I feel like there's a lot of expectations on me because of them?" She shrugged as she flopped onto the couch and made herself comfortable.
"Well they got one great one," she said as she leaned forward to look over the assorted snacks, "so that's lucky."
