Aisling had been practising for most of the morning. Luckily, over the years, Aisling had become pretty good at remembering to set break-reminders. Even though, if she wanted to be perfectly honest with herself, they probably should’ve gone off more often than what she chose. Still, in comparison to what her practising used to be like, Aisling was actually pretty pleased she did force herself to take a break every few hours. This break, Aisling had decided to go and spend with Xavier.
Tea for bribery was made, even though Aisling knew Xavier hardly needed her to bribe him with tea to let her hang out with him. She enjoyed it, though, making him and herself some tea, it was almost a habit now. Once tea was provided, Aisling had settled down cross-legged on Xavier’s bed, close enough to absentmindedly run her hand over his leg as she told him about her holiday plans with Ashleigh.
“So, I’ll be gone for a week, lying on the sunny beaches for St Tropez,” she told Xavier with a grin. “I’ll send you a postcard,” Aisling added teasingly.
--
Xavier had been enjoying a nap before Aisling came to him with tea, but he hardly minded being woken up - especially when it was by her, and with tea right there for him to have. It simply meant he was not quite fully awake or alert, but easily enough of both to listen to her talk about her holiday plans. The tea certainly helped, and he'd had half of it before setting the mug on his nightstand to keep from spilling it.
“I’m sure I'll be incredibly jealous,” Xavier replied with a grin, resting his hand on her leg with his fingers curling around it. “The postcard will almost make up for it, I think. Like I'm there. Be sure to pick one that'll make me feel the sunshine.”
--
“Jealous of me or Ashleigh?” Aisling asked teasingly. It was hardly as if she felt that she couldn’t go on holiday without Xavier, though, if Aisling was going to be perfectly honest, she would have hardly objected to going on one with him. Not that she would ever sacrifice her time with Ashleigh for it, but perhaps it would also be nice to have a holiday in which Xavier got to enjoy the beach through more than a post card. And Aisling got to enjoy him.
Shifting, so she could lean over Xavier and put her mug down next to his, Aisling moved closer, her knees brushing against Xavier’s ribs as she leaned in to press a soft kiss against his lips. “Maybe I’ll even bring you back some nice French food,” she told him with a smile. “And perhaps some pictures of me having a glorious time in a bikini,” Aisling added with another kiss.
--
“Both,” Xavier decided after a moment of thought. Definitely both - jealous of the two of them having such a lovely holiday, and also Ashleigh getting to spend a week with Aisling in such a nice place. There certainly wasn't anything stopping him from going on a holiday, with or without her, but it wasn't something he thought about. Maybe he would, sometime.
“You know I love food,” he replied with a grin, nose nudging against hers lightly before he kissed her again. He gave a tug to where his hand was still on her leg, bringing her closer and so she would sit over his lap. “And I would never ever say no to happy bikini pictures.”
--
With Xavier’s urging (though she really didn’t require it), Aisling did move one of her legs over his, so she could settle down comfortably on his lap. “I do know you love food,” Aisling confirmed. Part of the enjoyment she found in cooking for others was the happiness it seemed to bring to people who liked food. Xavier was definitely one of Aisling’s favourite people to cook for, in close competition with Andrew.
The claim that he would never turn down happy bikini pictures made Aisling laugh, as she brought Xavier’s hands up to rest on her hips, her own hands covering his. “I rather hope not,” she agreed grinning before leaning in to press another easy kiss against his lips. It was easy, too, comfortable and rather playful with no actual expectation of anything. Which, Aisling supposed, also was a pretty good description of their relationship.
--
There, that was more comfortable. Xavier was still a little sleepy, which meant cuddly, so he was quite glad to have Aisling closer. He let her move his hands, his fingers curling around her hips as she kissed him, a smile on his lips as he gladly returned it. With a soft hum against her, he let his hands slide from under hers and around to her back, his arms easily wrapping around her and his head dropping down to nuzzle his face in against the crook of her neck.
“Maybe some pastries,” he murmured after a moment, his voice muffled against her skin. “A giant chocolate croissant.”
--
Though it wasn’t the normal day for actual band practice Mary-Anne had decided to visit Panquake House for that reason. Mostly because there was less chance of being bother by her brother asking her ridiculous questions about Aisling. They were harmless enough but very annoying when she was trying to practice any of the band’s songs. The only problem was when she’d located the keyboard it’s adjustment stand wasn’t with it and so went in search of it. It was likely a futile gesture from the start since even though she’d been with the band a couple months now she still didn’t really know her way around the house.
When she found a closed door she decided to try it and give the room beyond a quick look. Big mistake. Having opened the door instead of finding an adjustment stand she had instead found Xavier and Aisling on the bed together.
“I… um… oh god… I’m sorry. I thought this was… I’ll just go,” she mumbled awkwardly, trying not to look too directly at either one of them.
--
Xavier’s keenness to be gifted a gigantic chocolate croissant made Aisling give another laugh, as she run her hands up his, finally settling loosely on Xavier’s shoulders. “I’m sure I can do my very best to fi--” Except she was stopped mid-way her assurances of investigating and acquiring large sized pastries for Xavier when the door opened and a rather startled Mary-Anne gave her apologies.
Aisling didn’t really think that her and Xavier had been keeping this thing between them a secret. They simply hadn’t bothered to tell anyone specifically that there was a thing. In the grand scheme of things, Aisling had mostly assumed that people either knew or didn’t care. Both were equally likely since no one had said anything. So it was hardly as if Aisling considered Mary-Anne walking in on them anything more than... well, honestly, quite amusing because the apologies were rather unnecessary. Aisling did shift off Xavier, though, so she could actually look at the girl. “It’s alright. Can we help you with something?”
--
Xavier lifted his head up quickly when he heard the door open, not so much because he was concerned about someone coming in but rather that usually everyone knocked before just opening his door. Except Aisling, who was already there. Seeing Mary-Anne made sense of it quite quickly, because he didn't expect she knew which doors went to who or where, since she was only at the house for practices and didn't stay there constantly like the rest of them. At least they hadn't been doing anything other than sitting there - for her sake, since she seemed flustered enough as is.
He let his arms loosen around Aisling as she moved, rubbing his hand over his face once she was off him. “Yeah, you don't have to apologize…”
--
Initially Mary-Anne had thought she might’ve walked in on something seeing them together. Except then the rational part of her mind caught up and realised that wasn’t exactly possible since they still had on all their clothes. “Maybe, but I should’ve knocked first,” she said. “I was um looking for the adjustment stand… for the keyboard… it wasn’t with the other… stuff.”
Later on when her mind was clearer she would’ve realised that was a good moment to leave, even if they did end up offering help, because it would’ve been better than standing there awkwardly and her hands fidgeting nervously.
--
It was funny. Aisling did realise, somewhere at the back of her mind, that it was also a bit mean to think of the situation as funny, by Mary-Anne’s obvious awkwardness and the fact that she was still there, was genuinely quite amusing. “I think there’s probably one in Andrew’s room,” Aisling offered, since she did know Andrew had a keyboard in his room. “That’s two doors down,” she added. “You’re probably okay not to even knock since Andrew’s at work,” Aisling said, biting her lip so she wouldn’t laugh. She did briefly wonder whether walking in on Andrew and Evan would be more or less awkward for Mary-Anne. Suppose she probably at least knew there might be something to walk in on.
After a moment of what was becoming a downright ridiculously awkward silence, Aisling shifted, glancing at Xavier, before her eyes returned to Mary-Anne. “How are you, Mary-Anne?” Aisling asked, this time rather unable to hold in the amused laugh that followed. Something about awkward situations did strike Aisling as terribly entertaining.
--
Andrew’s room was a good suggestion, since Xavier had no idea where one might be otherwise. He didn't have much to offer beyond that, except he felt bad that Mary-Anne looked quite uncomfortable with what she'd walked into. That made the second time, that he knew of, that he'd done something to make her uncomfortable - though at least this time it truly wasn't his fault. He was pulled out of that thought when he heard Aisling laugh, and he gave her an amused look but still reached over to pinch her lightly for laughing at the situation.
“Don't mind her,” he offered to Mary-Anne, giving a shake of his head. “Did you want one of us to help you find Andrew’s room?”
--
Mary-Anne wasn’t quite sure how to take Aisling’s laughter though she was pretty sure it wasn’t done to be mean, so there was that small comfort. Although it didn’t help her feel any less awkward for still standing there. “Um… no, that’s uh fine. I… you’re both busy… I can find it… on my own,” she replied nervously. “Thank you though… um… I’ll just uh go… now…”
Rather than waste more time standing about awkwardly and turned to leave the room closing the door behind her. Before going in the direction Aisling said to look for a stand in Andrew’s room; though despite what Aisling had said she would remember to knock this time.
--
When Xavier pinched her leg, Aisling smacked his hand away, but she did offer a ‘sorry’ to Mary-Anne before the girl did seem to finally relocate her ability to move. When the door shut behind her, Aisling gave another small laugh, feeling less guilty for it seeing how Mary-Anne wasn’t there to hear it.
“Well,” Aisling said, grinning at Xavier. “On the bright side, at least no one was naked,” she told him, wondering whether if that had been the case, Mary-Anne would’ve left much quicker. Probably. But also perhaps more awkwardly. “Albeit,” Aisling added giving Xavier’s side a small poke. “Perhaps we can change that,” she told him with a grin.
--
Xavier didn't really know what else to possibly say to Mary-Anne but that worked out fine with how she left, and the door was closed again. He turned to look at Aisling when she laughed again, a slow grin spreading across his features. It was true, it could have been a much worse situation for her to walk in on - and by worse he meant for her, not for them.
“We can,” he agreed, shifting to press her back onto the bed, his hands pressing into the bedding on either side of her as he leaned in to kiss her, which he did for a long moment before pulling back. “What do you think, lock the door in case she gets lost again?”
--
Aisling went easily as Xavier pushed her back onto the bed, rather happy to do so. The kissing, too, Aisling was more than happy to oblige. When he pulled back, asking her if they should lock the door, Aisling laughed softly. “I think that there’s a great chance Mary-Anne will never forget to knock again,” she replied teasingly, running her hand over his arms.
“Though, perhaps, if we still intend hand-made cards for the rest of the band, we might need to ensure they don’t all startle themselves beforehand,” she added teasingly. It was highly unlikely that the hand-made card approach would actually manifest, if only because Aisling honestly felt no need to inform the band of what essentially was her and Xavier’s private life. She trusted that the two of them were reasonable enough for it to never need to affect the band. It certainly hadn’t done so far and they had been in an accidental relationship for really quite a while now. In a way, it was rather amusing that Mary-Anne now was the only one to actually know (or at least the only one Aisling was aware of knowing anything).
--
Xavier grinned softly and nudged the tip of his nose against hers. “I doubt she'll ever come in here again, knocking or no. She's probably traumatized thanks to you laughing at her honest mistake…”
He leaned down to kiss her neck as she spoke about the cards, giving a light huff of laughter against her skin. They’d managed for months with no one wandering in until that day, and honestly he didn't particularly care. He didn't see the point in making some kind of announcement about things, especially when it had no impact on anyone else. Besides, it would have been weird to do. “Maybe just one to Nina,” he mumbled between kisses. “We cross our hearts we won't cause any trouble…”
--
“I wasn’t laughing at her!” Aisling protested, before biting her lip. “Okay, maybe a little at her, but mostly at the situation,” she defended. Aisling would make sure to speak to Mary-Anne and assure her that the girl had nothing to worry about. It really was hardly as if she had done much to disturb them. And it had been a funny situation, Aisling still maintained that.
Nina, Aisling suspected, would care even less than the rest of the band, since Nina at least had the good senses to give people the benefit of doubt of being grown-ups about things. Or most often than not. Aisling certainly was grown-up about everything. “I might tell Andrew,” Aisling said tilting her head so her neck would have an easier access for kisses. One of her hands moved up, fingers sliding into Xavier’s hair as she pulled his head closer. “Mostly because I don’t want him to think I didn’t tell him,” because really, it wasn’t as if Aisling was keeping a secret. Still, Andrew had told her about Evan. Sort of. Mostly just panicked at her.
--
“I know you were mostly laughing about the situation, but I'm not sure she knows that,” Xavier clarified, before going back to kissing her. He liked the way her fingers threaded into his hair like that, and gave a quiet little hum of acknowledgement when she mentioned telling Andrew. He, of course, didn't care if she told anyone or no one - it was really up to her, wasn't it?
He nipped at the underside of her jaw before lifting his head up enough to be able to look down at her. “Right, so he doesn't think you were hiding it from him or something. I get that.”
--
“I’ll make sure to apologise to her,” Aisling assured. She really didn’t want Mary-Anne to feel uncomfortable, especially since personally Aisling didn’t think there was anything to feel uncomfortable about. These things, surely, just happened, right? If anything, perhaps she could convince Mary-Anne that accidentally walking in on people was just a part of sharing a house (which it really kind of was). At least she had missed the Kissing Olympics, when there had been a greater chance of walking in on everyone kissing each other.
Shifting beneath Xavier, Aisling moved one of her legs so she could bring it up, thigh pressing against Xavier’s arse so she could push his body closer into hers as she hummed at his words about Andrew not thinking Aisling was keeping a secret from him. “Though, I suppose, if you wanted to be my secret...” She offered teasingly, successfully managing to brush her lips against Xavier’s ear, before her teeth scratched his earlobe lightly.
--
Xavier shifted down closer to her thanks to her leg pushing against him, and he let his hips absently rock down against hers as she spoke so close to his ear. His eyes closed briefly, a little smile turning at the corners of his mouth as he shifted his weight to one hand so he could lift the other, running it along her leg that was around him and coming to rest on her ass.
“You just want to sneak around,” he murmured against her ear before kissing the hinge of her jaw, tongue and teeth playing against it before he pulled back. “See what we can get away with before we get caught…”
--
Aisling’s hand that wasn’t in Xavier’s hair, moved downwards to the low of his back where his shirt was rising up, nails scratching softly against the exposed skin. “Mmm,” she agreed, tilting her head to press soft kisses against Xavier’s neck. “Shower sex,” she told him, mostly jokingly. Or perhaps, the joking bit was the idea of sneaking around, since it just seemed rather redundant. The shower sex, though, Aisling was sure she could definitely get behind. Or would it be getting Xavier behind? Oh, the possibilities.
“With our stealthy abilities, I’m sure we could get away with loads of things,” she informed Xavier playfully. “For as long as we teach Mary-Anne to knock.”
--
Xavier’s back arched slightly due to her nails against his skin, and he gave a quiet hum of agreement, though he chuckled softly after a moment. “You've been trying to get me in the shower forever,” he murmured, hand squeezing over where it was resting on her ass before sliding up along her side, raking her shirt up as it went. “Ken’s gotten further than you, with that.”
He caught her lower lip between his and sucked on it softly before letting it go with a graze of his teeth against it. “I don't think she'll forget to knock ever again, so we're good to go.”
--
“Ken’s obviously more skilled than me,” Aisling determined with a soft smile, before it was absorbed into Xavier’s nibble of her lip. “Perhaps I’ll ask him for tips,” she added against Xavier’s lips, but there really wasn’t much of an intention to ask Ken about it at all. If only because Aisling was pretty sure she could succeed if more effort was put into the task.
Briefly, Aisling moved her arms, to let Xavier push her shirt up more and them off, before her own hands made similar efforts towards his own shirt. Once those were rid of, Aisling moved to capture Xavier’s lips with hers once again.
