Fred was minding his own business, going out in front of the shop because he knew Lee was supposed to come by at some point and thought he'd check to see if he saw him anywhere on the street. What he hadn't expected, though, was to be caught off guard the moment that he stepped on a green brick just outside of the shop. It might not have been a very strange thing, stepping a brick, but that day it was the most horrible thing he could have done. No sooner had his shoe touched the green brick, did his legs decide that it was time to dance an Irish jig that he didn't even know that he knew. The worst part about it all was that Fred had no idea how it had begun.

"What the--," he gasped out, unable to get his legs to stop doing the strange dance. And, of course, it was the busiest part of the day and the whole of Diagon Alley was so full that there was no way no one would notice. A turn of his head had his eyes flicking through the crowd who eyed him with confusion, but it was Lee's face that caught his attention. "Lee!," he breathed. "Don't come clos--," he tried to warn, but poor Lee didn't hear him in time. He wasn't sure what nabbed him too, but his friend was snapped up into doing the same jig. "Oh, Merlin!"

Lee could not describe the sensation of dancing the irish jig as soon as he stepped on the green brick. He was just glad that he didn't have Sutton with him as he'd left her with a baby sitter for the morning to do a little bit of errands and catch up with Fred.

"I'm guessing it's not one of yours then?" He asked as they spun and Lee did moves that he didn't even know.

Fred tried to shake his head but his thoughts were so on his feet that he could barely even remember how to do both at the same time. He gave up with the gesture and chose words instead. "No," he said. "Not one of mine." He started to wonder if George had gotten up to a prank on his own but he couldn't think of when the guy would have had the time to even consider it. "It might be one of George's... maybe?"

He looked in the direction of the shop, trying to locate his brother by sight. "If it is, I am so going to get him back the second this stops. You in?"

George had been in the back aisle of the shop, restocking the fireworks wall. He hadn't noticed right away that the shop had become rather quiet, because these days it always seemed too quiet for comfort, but that was his own problem, because the whole world was only half as loud as it ought to be. But eventually, he did look up and realize that the place was properly empty. Even Fred was gone.

Frowning, he walked away from the cart and its explosive cargo and towards the open front door of the shop where a crowd had gathered. Of course no one would come into the shop when the best entertainment was outside it.

George broke into a grin and turned immediately to the popcorn machine next to the door. It now popped perfectly proper popcorn, not that cotton-candy flavored stuff he'd tried, which apparently he'd been the only one to enjoy. Bag of popcorn in hand, he drew his wand and conjured a bright green plastic chair and plopped down into it to watch.

As he was getting himself situated, he missed the comment about himself possibly being at fault, so he simply waved cheerfully and settled in for a good show.

"Considering that the jerk is sitting over there enjoying this ..." He tried to nod over at George but his body wouldn't let him even he tried "I say let's blame him even if it wasn't and get him back, anyway" he then found himself dancing around Fred for a second.

"Merlin I'm glad Sutton isn't here" he commented

When Lee mentioned George enjoying it, Fred tried to look for him, catching sight of him briefly when his body turned - completely against his wishes. He glared, but it did little good because he turned again and the dancing continued. "I agree," he muttered, quickly getting out of breath but having zero control on stopping his feet or getting them to do anything else. "Even if he isn't the culprit, he's going the right way to get retribution regardless just for enjoying this... ugh!"

The mention of Sutton horrified Fred. "Oh, Merlin," he said. "Me too." That was the last thing that they needed. The poor baby would have been horribly shaken up.

George honestly couldn't understand why he was being glared at. They were the ones dancing like idiots for some unknown reason. He was just joining the crowd in appreciating this newfound skill that both of them seemed to have acquired overnight.

Huh. Weird.
