He was smiling at her and she very nearly melted into a puddle at that alone, but then he was talking to her and asking who she was and she wasn't sure whether to be absolutely amazed that she was talking to him or completely horrified that she was probably making a total fool out of herself. Gone was the fairly confident girl that she usually was, replaced with a total fangirling mess. Trying her best to rein in the jittery bouncing inside of her chest, she smiled despite the blush on her cheeks and took the whole thing one step at a time.
He'd asked her a question. Her name. She knew her own name, of course.
"Caitlin," she finally murmured. "I'm Caitlin Carmichael," she explained. He had no idea, of course, who she was, why would he? He was with Quake. He was Xavier Ansari. It didn't matter that they were in the same house at Hogwarts - it was only for two years, after all, not that she was counting. He certainly would have no idea who she was, but they were talking! Oh, god, she wanted to tell all of her friends already and he'd barely said two words to her.
