As far as Ashleigh was concerned, there was a world of difference between Higgs and George Weasley. It surprised her more that Alicia should have found herself in relationships with both of them than that the two men both liked her in return. Noting that Higgs role in the cooking seemed to be about finished, Ashleigh moved a step away from the counter. "Time for that tour?" she asked. "I know any number of self-stirring spells." And curry was hardly something that would suffer from simmering in sauce a little longer. Possibly, Ashleigh was just trying to put off the moment she had to eat, and she wouldn't at all blame Terence if he called her on that and insisted the tour come after food.
Ashleigh didn't have an easy answer to Higgs' question. She didn't quite know why she'd decided to force the issue with Axel. "I believed I would... enjoy it," he said. "And the tension of neither of us addressing our feelings was becoming unbearable." She pursed her lips as she mused over a mental list of reasons she shouldn't date Axel. "I feel like our incompatibilities are out of balance," she said, wondering if that would make any sense to Higgs. "The ways he doesn't suit me aren't that significant. He's not as punctual as I'd like, he's not tidy. I can deal with those things. Very few people are as tidy as I'd like." She smiled, well aware her standards could be called unreasonable. "The ways I don't suit him are... fundamental."She frowned. She was speaking for Axel from her own supposition. "But he doesn't complain. Yet."
