Higgs snorted when Ashleigh informed him that George Weasley had never cooked for her. He would have suggested that there was still time for that to change, but it seemed like a rather unlikely proposition unless Ashleigh was about to make friends with the Weasley twin, which seemed unlikely, if she hadn't done so already. "A few probably, yes," he agreed with a smirk. There were most likely more than a few differences between them. If anything, the distinct impression Higgs had got from his brief encounters with the other man was that the most they had in common was their love for Alicia, and even that seemed to be handled in rather different ways.
At Ashleigh's proclamation that she didn't know what relationships were for, Higgs still slightly, pondering the statement. "I think, that, too, depends on the people," Higgs said thoughtfully. "I guess companionship's the easy answer," he explained before stirring the sauce in with all the ingredients already in the pot, it wasn't long now before the food would be ready. "But that probably isn't the same for everyone," Higgs admitted with a shrug. There were plenty of people who sought out relationships for companionship, but Higgs wasn't even convinced if that was why he had. "Spending time with each other. Supporting each other. Things that happen in friendships, too, but perhaps more intimately?" He commented glancing at Ashleigh as if trying to establish whether his explanation was good enough. "What made you go from being friends with Axel to dating him?" Higgs asked curiously.
