Now that the chopping seemed to be done, Ashleigh returned to her coffee. It was tepid now, and she warmed it up to the perfect temperature with a small movement of her wand. The advantage of no milk or sugar was that she could do this almost indefinitely if, as often, she forgot to drink it all at once. "And yet George Weasley has never made dinner for me," she pointed out. "You must have some differences." She was quite certain that they did, because Ashleigh found Higgs very comforting, and she'd never been other than anxious around either of the Weasley twins, on the few occasions that she'd met them.
His words were sensible advice, but it didn't really ease his anxiety very much. Compromise wasn't something she would have said she was very good at. She was used to getting things her own way, and she liked getting things her own way. "More than I have," she pointed out, matter-of-factly. She could have had a relationship, if she'd wanted, though she did seriously doubt whether she'd have been able to forge a marriage. "I don't really know what a relationship is for," she admitted. She paused, clicking her tongue against her teeth as she wondered how to phrase her confusion. She could hardly say to Higgs that she didn't really see what he got out of his relationship with Alicia. Nor, honestly, was she very sure what benefit Axel got from spending time with her. Another question better directed at Axel.
