Medium on the mild side it was then, Higgs decided as he moved to add the spices to the chicken, before dropping all of the chopped up vegetables into the pot and proceeding to locate some sauce. He hummed slightly when Ashleigh said she was glad people she knew weren't affected by it. "One of my friends said we're married in whatever alternative universe these memories originate from," he told Ashleigh conversationally. Higgs really didn't feel any one particular way about the revelation that he and Lydia were married in this other version of themselves. There wasn't enough to know about the other timeline that this would in any way change their lives. "It's only a little bit awkward since she's George Weasley's girlfriend," Higgs informed Ashleigh with a hint of an amused smile. The happenstance of that still seemed oddly strange and yet somewhat fitting.
"I'm not sure how much I really know about romance, but I am happy to lead by example," Higgs told her with a laugh. He really didn't consider himself particularly romantic, but Higgs was reasonable enough to recognise that there were probably plenty of things he did that could and would be considered romantic. "Is that a problem, though?" He asked raising an eyebrow at Ashleigh. "I mean, I assume that Axel wouldn't be dating you if he expected grand demonstrations of romance," since, really, anyone who knew Ashleigh would be aware that that was just not the sort of person she was. "I'd imagine he might know you," Higgs teased slightly.
