Phillipa listened silently, taking in what was being said along with the soothing way the waves broke and water rushed up onto the shore in front of them. She was grateful, she supposed, that Marcus had found someone who'd made him stop and feel the sorts of things Ginny talked about. The sorts of things people like them didn't necessarily have written in the cards for their lives.
"He deserves that," she said after a moment. "He deserves to be happy, and have love. I'm glad it found him."
