Ginny didn't look up when Pippa sat, but she did manage a laugh. "This is a walk in the park next to your parents." Straightening her right leg, she lifted the hem of the shirt to show Pippa the bruises on her thigh. "Marcus had to stop me from stabbing them with my fork more than once during brunch on Sunday. Honestly, I don't know how any of you Flints turned in to decent and good humans with them for parents."
She cringed and pulled her leg back up. "Sorry. I really shouldn't say that about them, but..." She trailed off and threw her stick into the water. "Your dad is a sexist pig, and I want to smack the smug out of him. The way he speaks to Marcus like he's some idiot who doesn't know his own mind. And your mother telling me I'm not good enough for him. That he'll have to marry someone who can 'handle the society and business expectations of the head of the Flint family'." Ginny growled, her cheeks red with anger. "I'll show her who can meet those expectations."
