"Naturally," George replied as if this was the stupidest thing Fred could have said. "Why wouldn't we? Then there wouldn't be trap doors and passageways and bounce-castles. That would just be unacceptable!" Because there was no way the two of them would ever really grow up. Not if George had anything to say about it, anyway. He pondered the ideas as he shoveled in more curry before finally setting the container down and holding his hands up in surrender. He could not eat any more. "Shouldn't we be writing this stuff down?"
He couldn't help but feel a bit relieved. Sure, the double-date idea had been Fred's, but it seemed sort of the logical thing for them to do, since they were so important to each other that these girls, assuming they were both around for a good long while, would have to get along, in theory. "Great! If you guys need time and blah blah, it's cool."
