Fred grinned. "What if we make the water slide ourselves?," he suggested. "And put a pool between the two houses. From the upstairs, of course. Or the attic. Or the roof! Yes, the roof. Slides from the roof that swirl together and end up in the pool. It must be done, clearly." The whole thing sounded amazing and he was plotting out schematics in his head even at that very moment. Not seeing George every day was not something that Fred really wanted to do. If they couldn't be roommates for all eternity, then living next door was the next best thing.
The narrowed eyes his brother eyed him with told him that he wasn't about to get away without a little more detail. "Three or four dates," he said. "And I don't know exactly. I haven't really been counting the dates since we started going out," he shrugged. "Just a little while, really." He flushed a bit and tried not to bring any attention to the heat in his cheeks. "I would have mentioned it before, but I didn't want to jinx it, you know? I mean, it could be nothing. It's still really new."
