"That might be better," George agreed with a sage nod. "You deserve your very own house, I suppose, just so long as said waterslide connects them." He broke into a grin at the thought. It seemed perfect, the brothers having their own lives but still close enough to pop over whenever inspiration struck. He didn't want to bring the evening down with seriousness, but the idea of not seeing Fred every single day - when not on holiday, anyway - made George a little queasy.
"Oh, I'm sure she did," George said with narrowed eyes, "she's got more friends than me. So how long is 'not too long ago,' anyway? And exactly how many is 'a few'?" Oh, he was definitely intrigued - and quite pleased - by this turn. He worried about his brother being alone because he knew how he'd feel if their positions were reversed.
