Celebrity was Gilderoy's favourite thing in life. It had brought him many great opportunities and advantages, and naturally he wanted to share that with his mother - who he felt sure would love it as much as he did. It would be nice, as well, for her to get back out into society. Even though many of his fans were not the pureblood witches with whom she'd once expected to socialise, they were around her age. "That is a wonderful idea," he said, ignoring Jun's comment that he didn't need to speak louder. "I could hold a raffle!" Since he hadn't been able to make a difference in the world by becoming Minister, Gilderoy had been looking for other ways. Match making was one, of course, but he had been considering several charities. Or perhaps founding a charity. (His team told him this would be too much work, but Gilderoy was blithely ignoring them, as he often did.)
He smiled again at Jun's compliment. "I shall tell you all about them," he promised, his voice returning to his normal volume. "There are so many little things that can't make it into the books, you know, or else they'd all be far too large." It was true, his editors often cut things - even things that Gilderoy thought were excellent. Sometimes (most often), they were the things Gilderoy had embellished entirely from his own imagination, rather than those he'd picked up from real life. It would be wonderful to have an appreciative audience for those little titbits.
