Arran rolled his eyes. "Of course I do!" He really did, because even if he was only on the reserves he did take it seriously. Not because he expected to have to play, but merely because he wanted to show he was willing to put in the hard work, because one day he would be on the team properly. Arran didn't think it would be for some years yet, though, because before very long they were going to want Oliver as captain. "Mum would never forgive me if I showed her up," he added, teasing. Though he imagined there'd be a stern lecture about the importance of nutrition if Evelyn heard he was ignoring the advice of the team's dietician.
"Not interrupting date night with Charlie, am I?" Arran asked, sipping his smoothie with some suspicion. It actually wasn't as bad as he'd feared - there were definitely ingredients other than kale. He frowned slightly at his own question, but didn't follow it up with anything. Oliver was Oliver, and there was no reason to believe he needed to be told not to make the mistakes Arran had made.
