To someone like Evan, who didn't possess a great understanding of what was and was not tactful, Lily's proposed conversation with James seemed perfectly reasonable. "Bet he'll be so glad not to live in Sirius' weird house that he won't care if you want to rip the whole of second floor off," Evan commented honestly. "That and also you're pretty great, I guess," he added more teasingly. Lily was, after all, pretty great.
Evan was glad that Lily had Remus. He had Daisy and Daisy was great and--well, Evan couldn't really comment on Harry because it wasn't like he could say him and Harry were close. They never had been to begin with and now, Evan really had no idea what now was. It wasn't like he could ask, not when the way Harry had told Evan that he didn't have a brother still rang in Evan's ears.
"He is important to me," Evan agreed with a nod, instead. Talking about Andrew was much preferred right now to thinking about Harry (well, that was true pretty much always, to be honest). Evan gave a small 'oh' when Lily added that Andrew would be welcome for as long as he'd be comfortable. "I'm not sure how comfortable he'd be," Evan commented honestly. "I think you scare him," he said with a frown. "But I don't think that's actually anything you've done?" Evan offered with a shrug. "He just--" Evan wasn't sure what. Andrew seemed to just have very different understanding of how families were than Evan did.
