"Ask him to buy you an extension for the attic instead," Evan told Lily cheekily. Sure, sure, toasters and kettles were great, but frankly, if Evan had to live with his dad again, he'd demand an attic extension as a minimum. Then again, Lily did seem to always be much more fond of James than Evan was. Not that he didn't like his dad, hardly, but sometimes he just seemed a bit... much. Clearly not a problem for Lily, which was, perhaps, expected, since she had married him.
Daisy and Evan were a pretty great team, even if far too often that team work had been creating trouble. Though, they had always been exceptional at that. "Don't you have Remus for that?" Evan asked. "Bit more awkward than Daisy, but still," he added. Evan had always thought that Lily and Remus had a pretty close friendship. Then again, they weren't twins and there was something special about being twins. Evan would know.
At the praise that his idea was the best, Evan beamed. He was always pretty confident in his ideas, but Lily praising him for them never got old. Even if Evan would try (which he did not), he'd always favour Lily to the majority of other people he knew, which meant that her approving of Evan made him very happy. "Could I bring Andrew?" Evan asked. "Or would that not count as a family thing, then?" He wasn't sure what the term really meant or applied to. Evan liked the idea of having Andrew there, both for sandcastles and for distraction.
