That seemed like a fair logic, so Evan nodded. Personally, Evan wasn't sure whether toasters would be worth it. A party, or anything of the sort, was probably quite a bit of effort. But then, his parents did have a lot of close friends who probably wouldn't turn down an opportunity for a get together, even if it did cost them a toaster or a kettle. "Well, you're taking dad back in, the least you should get out of that is a new toaster," Evan told Lily jokingly.
"Yeah, sorry, no apologies there," Evan informed Lily when she teased that two babies at once weren't particularly encouraging for more babies. Whilst Evan could see the logic in that, he wouldn't have wanted to not be a twin. Being a twin was great and Daisy was great. "Well, I did tell Daisy you had gotten back together," Evan commented because he had told his sister, but he had also warned Lily that he would. Not that Evan thought there was much of a need for that warning, since of course he'd tell Daisy.
How great them doing something together as a family would be right now, Evan wasn't too sure. Nor was he particularly sure he wanted that. Evan wasn't very good at pretending everything was okay. "Like a day at the beach?" Evan asked. "With splashing and building of sandcastles?" Unsurprisingly, that had always been Evan's favourite bit.
