"Well then what sort of person would I be if I refused the chance to get presents?" Lily asked with a laugh, then she shook her head, speaking more seriously. "I just don't think it's something worth making a fuss about. We were only separated for a time, and now we're not." She shrugged. "But perhaps something to symbolically reaffirm our commitment to each other would be nice. I'll think about it, all right?"
She sighed, then, at the discussion of The Talk. "I am confidant that your father and I know what we're doing. I did only get pregnant twice, after all. It could have been a lot more." If Evan were anyone else, she was sure that there would be disgusted sounds at hearing about a parent's private life, but she trusted that Evan would appreciate it as a joke.
