Lily laughed aloud at the teasing. "I think it just might!" She said brightly, and her smile persisted through Evan's serious moment. She reached out to lightly lay her hand on his forearm. "Thank you," she said, "that means a lot." Not that his being unhappy would have changed her intention to reunite with her husband, but it did make things nicer. More like their family was going back to how it should be.
She frowned slightly at Evan's brief expression of alarm, she was already so concerned about him following the week's events, but she relaxed as he went on to suggest a party. She shook her head and waved a hand. "I don't think that's necessary? It's not like we were actually divorced and are re-marrying."
