Maybe where usually Evan would have at least pretended to protest at the hug, this time he really didn't. He hugged back as strong as Lily hugged him, giving a content sigh as he did so, because it was easy to forget what had happened when his mum hugged him. Once she leg to, Evan gave her a smile. "I will do," he confirmed when Lily urged him to thank Andrew from her. Evan was sure that Andrew didn't feel the need for thanks, but he could have them anyway.
Pulling one of his socked feet up, Evan tucked it under his leg as he leaned forward to look at the blueprint that Lily asked about. "Right," Evan nodded. "So obviously, they're all the same basic structure - office slash library, like you wanted," Evan explained. "But this one," he noted referring to the one she had pointed at. "Also has a part for storage. It's obviously nowhere near as big size-wise as what you have currently, but with magic, I could install an extension within the area, and that would allow for at least as much storage as the attic has currently," Evan said, before pulling forward one of the other two blueprints.
"This," he said tapping a finger against it. "Has less allowances for storage, but I've introduced a divisional wall, if you wanted a space for secretary. We could also work with the Floo network to get you a separate Floo just for the office, which means you could use it to receive clients and it wouldn't require them to actually walk through the house," Evan explained. He wasn't sure how keen Lily would be on that, since it was still strangers in the house.
Finally, pulling forth the third blueprint, Evan tilted his head slightly. "That one's the one that I didn't completely finish, but the basic idea is there," he noted. "It's a lot like the first one, with the office slash library space, slightly more library slightly less storage," Evan noted. "But, this would take part of the roof out, to allow for a glass window and a terrace sort of thing, which might be nice in the summer?" Besides, they house overlooked some fields, so it wasn't like it'd be unpleasant to look at.
"So yeah," Evan said pulling back a bit. "But if you don't like these, I can do something else?" He offered. It really wouldn't be a hardship.
