Lottie's jaw was starting to hurt from clenching her teeth around her laughter, and she gave Draco's had a squeeze. It was both warning and affection, and she leaned into him a little. "It just goes to show," she said, her voice full of a merriment that she hoped Gilderoy would take as encouragement, "that you have good instincts. Draco and I met at the St. Mungo's charity gala in March, quite by accident," she said, making it very clear that they had found each other on their own. "But the fact that you thought we might hit it off is a good sign for your actual customers."
Catching movement out of the corner of her eye, Charlotte's attention was grabbed by one of the waiters who looked slightly panicked. Her smile stuck, losing it's mirth. "Excuse me," she said politely. She popped up on her toes to kiss Draco's cheek. "I'll find you later." Turning to Gilderoy. "I must get back to work. Please let me know if you need anything."
Before either could stop her, she hastened toward the waiter to put out whatever fire had him looking so panicked and left the men to themselves.
