"Oh yes, what a horror that would be," he commented, not bothering to hide the sarcasm this time. Though whether Gilderoy noticed it, or the eye rolling that followed, or not remained to be seen - not that Draco particularly cared right now. Honestly, how did anyone take this man seriously?
That statement right there almost made it sound as if Gilderoy had really been the one to bring them together which just irritated him to no end. If not for Lottie and not wanting to ruin this for her he'd probably be speaking his mind rather than being civil and restrained as possible. Not that Lottie was being much help. Having glanced over at her Draco noticed that the corners of her lips were upturned into a smile of amusement, rather than perhaps simple happiness, and he was fairly certain she was trying not to laugh.
"Perhaps you'd have better luck then," he added, mentally tacking 'if you didn't try to matchmake people' on the end. It may have come out perhaps a little ruder than he intended. But one slip wasn't too bad when he'd been biting back his words since being cornered by Gilderoy earlier.
