Daisy didn't want to think that her godfather was complete resistant to her pout or her tears or any other tricks she might have used to get her way, but even she could admit that maybe she didn't always get away with what she wanted. Still, it was a relief when he didn't boot her out on her arse and gave her a place of refuge for the evening.
That being done and taken care of, she began to look at her godfather with a slightly more critical eye.
