"They whiz past you very quickly, just balls of fluff everywhere," Higgs commented with a shake of his head. It had been rather ridiculous to watch, especially whilst trying to apprehend the people trying to pretend the puffskeins weren't there. "I think it'd give me a headache," he admitted honestly. "Pushkin already covers all my speedy fluff needs," Higgs added with a grin. Pushkin was still only a kitten but he certainly didn't appear to be losing any fun over the fact that he only had three legs rather than four. There was a lot of running around, and Lydia was right, Fi didn't seem to appreciate it greatly but she put up with it because Fi was a great dog.
Higgs waited for Lydia to order her drink before asking the waitress for a pint of lager. Once the woman left, Higgs looked back at Lydia. "Yeah, going to Gemma's game, which should be great," he nodded. "She's been complaining a lot about the wait," Higgs agreed before smirking slightly. "But you wouldn't know it's any different from how she usually is," he teased, rather unfairly. Gemma didn't actually complain very much at all. "I went to the Irish game, sort of an obligation when you live with the captain," Higgs added. "I have a spare ticket for the English game if you'd like to come?" He offered before realising that whilst he did have a spare ticket, he was also attending the game with Alicia.
There was a small pause as Higgs tried to decide how to bring that up. He didn't intend to withdraw the invitation, hardly, but he felt that it would probably be reasonable to at least inform Lydia that if she did choose to take the spare, she would be going with Higgs and Alicia. "You're more than welcome to it," he referred to the ticket. "I'm taking Alicia, but Gemma got us multiple tickets, privileges being on the national team and all," Higgs explained, before slightly pausing again. "I'm not sure what your relationship with Alicia's like?" He offered. "So feel free to refuse if that seems more appropriate," it was hardly as if Higgs was going to take offence. If anything, he would definitely decline the offer if it had come from Lydia and involved Weasley.
