Holding up a finger, Brí popped off her stool and hurried to the other side of the shop. She had a photo of the Ravenclaws from her year from when they were 12. One of her dads had insisted she round them all up for a picture when they got off the train after their first year. It had been embarrassing at the time, but she was glad she had it.
Returning to Xavier, she handed him the framed image. She leaned over the counter to look at it upside down and tapped Axel. "He definitely had to grow into 'rock star'," she said, using the air quotes. "And here's Aisling. And here," she tapped above a girl, shorter than the others, with a mess of dark curls, "is me. It took me another two years to grow into my hair."
She cocked her head at Xavier. "Is that something you say to cope or to stop people from asking more questions?"
