Xavier was glad she'd laughed. He never quite knew whether people would take him seriously about such things, especially people he hadn't spent a whole lot of time with. The last thing he wanted was to make someone actually feel bad when he'd been joking. "Well I'm glad I turned up when I did then."
He shifted out of the way when the customer came up, sipping the tea slowly - assuming he was allowed to since he'd already been drinking out of the cup. At her question, he blinked once before remembering he'd gone there for a reason other than tea. "Oh, I brought you cookies." He stepped up to the counter again and nudged the box he'd set there.
