Xavier glanced over when he heard her voice, pausing to make sure he'd properly wiped his shoes on the mat before making his way over to the counter. A soft smile turned up the corners of his mouth at her request, and he set the box he'd been carrying on the counter before picking up the cup and holding it in both his hands, feeling its warmth spread into his fingers.
"Am I going to burn my tongue now?" Xavier paused a moment to breathe in the scent of the tea before carefully taking a sip. His eyes closed for a moment as the flavor hit his tongue - the tea not too hot as to burn him but just the right temperature to be perfectly comforting.
"It's really good," he said, his eyes blinking open to look across the table at her. "I like the cardamom in there.
