Aisling quite liked The Mountain View Inn, she was a big fan of their restaurant, which was why Aisling tended to have a couple of nights a month booked there for meals as a regular occurrence. It being only a short walk from the Panquake house also helped. Usually, Aisling went there with friends or acquiescences, enjoy a nice meal and a chat. It was on an evening out like that a few weeks ago that she had first noticed the pianist. Aisling had spent a great deal of her life surrounded by excellent musicians, so she liked to think she was quite well trained to spot them, too. There were plenty of people who played well enough to be a pianist in a posh restaurant. That was not what this girl was.
Mary-Anne, Aisling had found out after asking the manager. There was still plenty of underdeveloped skill, but then she was young and Aisling could hardly fault her for that, besides, it didn't matter because her talent shone through any technical mistakes that might occur. Tonight was the fifth time Aisling had come to see Mary-Anne play and she had a plan.
Quake had been without someone permanent on the keyboard for quite a while now and Aisling felt that they should attempt to fix that. She was hardly in the position to just recruit someone, but what Aisling could and fully intended to do was to see if the girl would be willing to audition for the band. It'd certainly be a start and Aisling doubted anyone would object to at least listening to Mary-Anne play. And once they would, Aisling had no doubt they'd agree with her. The girl definitely had talent.
It was nearing the closing time and Mary-Anne appeared to be wrapping up, so Aisling approached her, brushing one hand against the piano as she offered the girl a smile. "Hi," Aisling said. "Mary-Anne, right? I'm Aisling. You play very beautifully," she complimented.
