Lydia felt this was a conversation they should be having face to face. So, with a slight grown she rolled over to face George, studying his features in the slight light that came in from outside for a moment. This was just a moment she didn't want to forget. "Can I tell you a secret?" she whispered after a bit.
Biting her lip she reached up and rested her hand on his chest, needing to hear his heartbeat. "When I got attacked today, I thought of you, and how much I loved you and was so glad you weren't with me at that very moment." A tear ran down her face as she continued, "Because that way I knew you were safe, and that nothingn was going to happen to you. I couldn't live with myself if something horrible had happened to you and it was my fault." Finally she was opening up, "After losing my grandfather I couldn't imagine losing you as well."
